Malignant mesothelioma is a disease in which the pleura, that is the thin layer that protects the lungs and lines the chest cavity in the form of tissue, is occupied by the cancer (malignant) cells. The disease causes by the excessive inhalation of asbestos that will bring the cancer cells to grow more and more. But it need a long time to occur, thus people who are suffered from mesothelioma are the ones who are exposed to asbestos for a long time in their lives. The cancer eventually causes fluid to be collected around the lung and the abdomen. This makes the person experiences some symptoms including trouble breathing, pain under the rib cage, pain or swelling in the abdomen, lumps in the abdomen, and the most visible one, losing weight for no reason. For this disease then those people that suffered, choose to take their choices of the mesothelioma treatment option.

The next mesothelioma treatment option is the gene therapy that is the insertion of the genes to treat a disease. Although it is a new treatment, so many cases have reported it as a success therapy. There are still other treatment options that can be chosen by the patient of mesothelioma, and most of them have already succeeded.
